How can you take gel nails off at home??

I don't want to have to pay the 20 dollars to get them professionally taken off.How can you take gel nails off at home??
Most gel can still be soaked off as it is all acrylic just in different forms, sometimes it would be quicker to let the salon buff them off than you to soak them off. If you've had them before how did the salon take them off?

This is the method I use on clients

Get half a cotton wool ball , soak it in pure acetone and place on your nail, then wrap your finger tip in a small piece of kitchen foil. Repeat on the remaining 4 fingers of one hand. After 10 minutes gently remove one finger from its foil pod and buff off any swollen or bubbly gel and replace your finger in the foil pod, do this on the other nails repeating until its all gone. You will probably need to resoak the cotton wool at some point.

Do NOT pull, prise or pick at any gel on your nail or you will damage your own nails. Once one hand is done you do the other hand.

Using foil stops evaporation of the acetone and also heats it slightly which speeds up the process a little, try and get a snug as fit as possible on the foil pod to minimise drips and evaporationHow can you take gel nails off at home??
Are the UV or not?...UV Gel nails you can't soak in Acetone or nail polish remover, You have to get them buffed off layer by layer...If not, Then soak your hands in Acetone for 10-20 minutes, then take a orange wood stick, and push on the softened nail...Never rip them off, Your natural nail will just get really soft and will break easily.
