How do you remove uv gel nails at home?

I've had gel nails on for about 2 weeks, instead of getting them filled i was thinking about just removing them. Is it okay to do this on my own? How?How do you remove uv gel nails at home?
First put your fingers in nail polish remover until they get soft/mussy..


Then start at the bridge of the nail and slowly run a very thin file between your natural nail and the gel.....resoke as needed.


whatever you do...don't pull the gel nail off...you will do more damage to your nail.How do you remove uv gel nails at home?
I normally use assatone! Its a purple solution that disolves the nail completely and doesnt ruin your real nail

steep them in a bowl with acetone nail varnish remover. after 10 mins or so the will go soft and shouldnt damage the nail removing them. after you have them removed apply cuticle oil over your natural nails to prevent splitting
