How thick should gel nails be? Should I go back and get mine redone?

I recently got fake gel nails put on, which Ive never done before. When I got back home, I realized that they were very thick looking (they went up even higher than my actual nailbed.) I am pretty sure they should look more natural than this...should I go back and have them redo it or are they generally this way?How thick should gel nails be? Should I go back and get mine redone?
I hate when they do that! I always ask them to do it very thin. They just don't want your nails to break so they do it thick. You are paying them for a service, and tipping them as well. So you should get what you want. Don't feel ashamed to ask-you're the one who has to walk around with those things! Go back in and have them reshape your nails. Be very specific as to what you want and don't let them tell you otherwise. But if a nail breaks then you have to pay for the repair since they are gonna warn you of breakage. How thick should gel nails be? Should I go back and get mine redone?
They are always a bit thicker the 1st time you get them on,when you go back to get them balanced they will thin out.I get mine done and love then they are so feminine and makes me feel pretty.
it sounds like there fine powder is thick
as thick or as thin as you want them
it depends on what u got dne, if u asked for natural look then they shoudn't b, but if ur concerned go ask
Thickness varies with the nail technician. Some are more heavy-handed than others. If you don't like them, go back and tell them they are too thick, or try and deal with them for awhile, then when you go back for your fill-in in two weeks, tell them about it then. You basically have to tell them what you want and insist that you get it, but be polite about it of course. If they won't listen to you, move on to another shop.

As a side note, be sure the shop is practicing sanitary procedures. It's a good idea to ask them for your own file, blocks, etc. The best shops are the ones that keep your particular items in a box with your name on it which you pick up when you go in. Never let them use cuticle nippers, clippers, or anything metal on you that hasn't gone through an autoclave for sterilization. You can catch hepatitis and a few other things from a nail salon.
It depends on what your hammering it in to. If youre hammering a door frame together they need to be about 60mm long and about 4mm thick. PS, gell nails might not hold very well, id suggest going to B%26amp;Q and getting some steel nails. Happy to help. Ant...
enhancements are alway thicker that your real nails.....otherwise they would not be as strong.......but the average thickness of a set of enhancements are no thicker that 2 business card withs on the free edge ( end of your nail ) and thicker in the middle to give you strength in the stress area.....
