How can you thin nail gel??r=1259155033?

I purchased it at Sally's 3 weeks ago, it was the *best* (most expensive $16) they had. It's now so thick it's unusable. Can I thin it with alcohol? How can you thin nail gel??r=1259155033?
No, absolutely not! If its hardened the best thing is to throw it away. I'm just curious...Did it come that way or did this happen since you bought it? I'm not sure what you know or don't know about UV gels but just in case you aren't familiar with gels: Always store them with the lid on tight in a shaded area - a drawer is perfect for this. When the container is open, be careful to not expose the gel to any sources of UV light especially direct sunlight. The sun will cure gels on brushes making them unusable and will thicken the gels in open containers as well. Also, those 'natural light' type of table lamps will also harden gels though not nearly as quick as direct sun exposure will.

On the other hand, if it came that way - is the gel a 'builder' gel? If so, they are supposed to be thick but definitely not to the point of being unusable but if someone is not familiar with the various gels a builder gel could easily be mistaken as being unusable when in fact it is perfectly fine to use. Builder gels typically do not self level and where you put them is where they should stay meaning they will not (should not) move easily. It takes more effort to apply them on the nail. Top gloss gels are much thinner and will self level on their own fairly easily which makes them much more workable and much easier to apply also. Sorry if you already know these things. Just trying to help :-)How can you thin nail gel??r=1259155033?
